Heidelberg, July 2024 – DIEFFENBACHER brought together over 80 experts from the global wood-based panels industry at its first Technology Symposium. The event focused on key challenges like rising raw material costs, energy efficiency, and the need for more sustainable production.

A major highlight was DIEFFENBACHER’s new Fiber2Fiber technology, developed under the EU-funded EcoReFibre project. This solution turns old MDF and HDF boards into high-quality recycled fibres, helping to cut waste and reduce the need for virgin wood.

Guests also explored DIEFFENBACHER’s digital tools like EVORIS, an AI platform that helps factories run smarter and save costs. Plant tours and expert talks covered glue-saving systems, circular economy solutions, and energy-efficient technologies.
