WoodPoP meeting
Helsinki, 4 October 2024 – The Second High-Level Meeting of the European Wood Policy Platform (woodPoP) involved 80 experts from 19 European countries, along with representatives from the European Commission and 22 organisations from academia, industry, and regional networks.
The event brought new energy to efforts for promoting the sustainable and innovative use of wood in Europe. Participants discussed priorities and next steps to strengthen Europe’s wood-based circular bioeconomy.
WoodPoP is a cross-sector initiative that connects key actors to develop better policies and solutions for using wood in smarter, more sustainable ways.
Austrian Minister Norbert Totschnig and Finnish Minister Kai Mykkänen were warmly thanked for their ongoing support. The meeting marked a key moment in building a stronger, united voice for wood in European policy.
