EcoReFibre at LIGNA 2025 | Hannover, Germany
Multiple specialist lectures presented EcoReFibre’s work at the Science Forum
This year, LIGNA, one of Europe’s biggest wood-related industry and innovation expos, took place between 26–30 May 2025 in Hannover, Germany. This year, on its 50th anniversary since inauguration, the focus at LIGNA was digitalisation, sustainability, and the circular economy.
EcoReFibre was represented through multiple project partners present at the event, specifically at the Science Forum. Namely, project partners IHD, Dieffenbacher, and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences delivered multiple specialist lectures at
the IHD stand at the fair.
At the IHD stand, Dieffenbacher presented its AI-driven sorting and dry-cleaning technology for post-consumer wood. This innovation helps recover clean fibres for new MDF and HDF boards—supporting EcoReFibre’s aim to replace up to 25% of
virgin fibres.
Expert talks covered fibre recovery, recycling tech, and how to scale circular solutions in the wood panel sector.
