Following the EcoReFibre Policy Conference held in Brussels in March, the project will show how its policy priorities have been translated into technologies, products and results at its final event in Hamburg on 14 October 2026.

The Policy Conference explored the policy, market, research and skills priorities needed for the wider adoption of fibreboard recycling. The final event, Unlocking Circularity and Market Potential from Wood Waste, will build on these discussions by bringing together the technologies, products and evidence developed throughout the project.

The programme will follow the recycling process from estimating available post-consumer volumes and sorting wood waste to recovering fibres and fines through wet, dry and mTMP processing routes. Project partners will then present how these materials have been used in new fibreboards, insulation products, particleboards and Bioblocks made from fibreboard dust.

The event will also examine the environmental and economic performance of recycling and introduce the EcoReFibre Guidebook and Strategic Roadmap. Together, these resources will connect the project’s technical results with the actions needed to strengthen material supply, encourage market uptake and support wider adoption by industry.

Held as a side event ahead of the 14th European Wood-based Panel Symposium, the EcoReFibre Results Presentations will bring together researchers, technology providers and industry representatives to discuss how EcoReFibre’s results can help advance wood and fibre recycling in Europe.

The event will take place from 12:45 to 17:00 CET at the SIDE Design Hotel in Hamburg. The programme will conclude with a networking cocktail. Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.
